Email marketing is a strong tactic and a must have to build loyalty.  A form of reminder marketing, email messaging can be targeted to specific user wants and likes.  If you don’t overdo it, and keep your list clean, your audience will appreciate that you keep them up-to-date and they will share or forward your message to friends.

Is email marketing still relevant?  You bet it is!  Research tells us that 92% of online adults use email with 61% using it every day.  Email is not only for business or family and friends.  In fact, 61% of consumers prefer to be contacted by brands through email.

But email can be finicky.  With consumers receiving and sending on average 121 emails per day, you have to be relevant and engaging quickly to grab attention.  Adults typically pay attention to one task for about eight seconds.  This is not a lot of time to be sure your message is received.  There are a few things you can do to improve your chances:

  • Make your Content easy to Scan quickly

  • Use Bullets instead of long paragraphs

  • Include Images that tell a Story or Create Emotion

  • Be Mobile Friendly

  • Create Headlines that Build Curiosity

  • Be Consistent in Format & Keep it Short

  • Target your Content

  • Include a Call to Action
